Here is a diagram of the basic components of most paintball guns. The model shown here is a mid-range mechanical semi-automatic paintball gun. Most of the components shown are present on all other paintball guns, but may look different, may be incorporated in a different manner or may utilize different technologies that make them look significantly different from those illustrated here. They may also be customized or may have been replaced with with after-market upgrades of the same component.
