According to the Tillsonburg News (Ontario) Ken Hammond, a long time fixture of the Canadian Paintball scene, died suddenly on Monday, March 8th.

Ken founded the Area 51 Paintball field near Ontario a number of years ago and quickly moved into developing specialized props for the scenario games he hosted. This led him to develop a wide range of “alternative weapon systems” (mortars, rocket launchers, etc) based on paintball technologies.

Ultimately, Ken began to apply his development work towards the creation of simulated weapon systems for Military and Law Enforcement training and the creation of MilSim fx – a company specializing in supplying training product to the military.
