There’s a very cool Paintball World video up on Vimeo, posted by Scott Koenig.
It’s a video magazine’s (Paintball World) coverage of the world’s largest Amateur Paintball competition (that began in 1990), hosted by Debra Dion-Krischke and her husband Ryan at one of the original survival game fields – Three Rivers Paintball out near Pittsburgh.
I’ve taken the liberty of editing the video down to just the famous and influential people that are introduced on the tape.
Renick Miller, owner of Bad Boyz Toyz and captain of one of paintball’s winningest teams – Aftershock – provided the title: these ARE the people who built the paintball schoolhouse.
If you’re relatively new to the game (which translates into – if you didn’t start playing before 2000), you may never have heard of some of these folks. Now is your chance to get acquainted.
For the rest of us – a chance to get reacquainted with some old friends, teammates and compatriots, a chance to reminisce and maybe shed a tear or two for the good old days.
And by the way – where did Fred get to?
