Welcome to another great season of the GPL. There are alot of positive changes this year that I believe the teams are going to be happy.

Player ID Cards The 2010 GPL will be using the APPA Program. We will be adopting the New Classification Program and New Ranking System that is going into affect this year. APPA Cards are accepted at all the national events as well as many of the regional events.

3-Man/5-Man Divisions This season, the 3-Man and 5-Man divisions will be following PSP Race 2 Format with ramping allowed. The 3-Man will be played on Saturday, 5-Man on Sunday. We are also going to offer 2 different divisions in both the 3-Man and 5-Man divisions. This season we will still offer the D2/D3 mix as well as the newly added D4/D5 mix division. Player rankings will abide by the APPA ranking system. There will be no cross division players allowed meaning that a D4/D5 team may only have D4/D5 players. No D2 or D3 players will be allowed to play on a D4/D5 team.

7-Man Division The 7-Man division is back as well this season and will be following the normal 7-Man style format however, we will not be allowing ramping in this division this year. 7-Man will be playing on Sunday now to accommodate those long distance travelers as well as those who work on Saturday. The ranking on this division is D2 and below meaning any player ranked D2, D3, D4 and D5 may play in this mixed division.

Rankings Not Allowed This season, we will NOT be allowing those players who are ranked in the APPA Program that are Pro, Semi-Pro or D1. We find it necessary to keep the integrity of the league as a Regional Event to not allow these players in and give back to those up and coming players who are the future of the sport.

Entry’s & Prizes Prizes will be announced shortly as we are still working with sponsors. We are taking a different approach this season on the divisions. We have made the entry for both the 3-Man divisions the same and both 5-Man divisions the same however we have changed the prizes. This is to encourage the more experienced teams to play in the higher division for prizes and keep the less experienced teams in the lower division.
