NPPL is looking for quality local NPPL referees to ref the upcoming NPPL DC Challenge August 6-8, 2010.

The NPPL will host a Pro referee tryout and practice session July 17th and 18th at Pev’s Tournament Complex 9am-4pm.

The Referee tryout and certification course will consist of a vigorous program where rules, positioning and communication will be taught, demonstrated and reviewed. Referees need to be prepared to take a test on the rules so make sure to read the rule book and bring it to the course it’s our bible.

2010 NPPL All Star Game .”‘Western Division” voting is now live!

The NPPL DC Challenge tournament at Pev’s Paintball Park is approaching quickly, and the league is proud to announce the details on the premiere event for the weekend, the annual NPPL East vs. West All-Star Game!

The All-Star Game will take place on Saturday, August 7th, and will feature a modified Super 7
format. Dynasty superstar Alex Fraige has been selected by his peers to lead as the captain of the Western division, where he’ll go up against Edmonton Impact player and captain of the Eastern division, Josh Davey. Both teams will compete wearing custom jerseys made especially for the All-Star game, which will be auctioned off after the event.

The rosters for both teams will be partially picked by the NPPL fans and supporters, ensuring that everyone gets a chance to cast their vote to get their favorite pro paintball player on the team! The All-Star game will be covered by all major NPPL media partners, including PaintballPhotography.com and Paintball.com.

The NPPL Super 7 World Series is returning to Chicago, Illinois Memorial Day Weekend! What’s even better is that this event will be held in conjunction with one of the greatest Scenario Big Games in Paintball – Living Legends at CPX Sports. To run fluidly along with the Living Legends event, and to make the most of the holiday weekend, the NPPL Super 7 event will take place on Saturday and Sunday with all final games being played on Monday, Memorial Day. This is a change from the traditional Friday through Sunday format, but we know that students will appreciate not having to miss School to compete in this event! 68Caliber has just learned that a number of history-making paintball teams will be attending the Ultimate Woodsball League event taking place this June 26-27 at the Badlandz paintball facility in Chicago.

The event is taking place simultaneously with the PSP Chicago event and with this latest news appears to be shaping up into a get-together of ten player teams of yore.

The list of attending teams obtained by 68Caliber includes

The Master Blasters, Ironmen, Aftershock, Image, Bad Company, Dynasty, Florida Annihilators, Avalanche and GBD.

No doubt even more will join the fray as word begins to spread!

That list alone contains some of the original and winningest teams in the game!

It is also a strong indication that ten players woodsball is beginning to make a strong comeback, and makes it appear as if the Woodsball World Cup (September 10-12, 2010 at Paintball Sport NY) has every opportunity to shape up into an industry get-together of wonderful proportions!

Get those pump guns and mechanical semis out folks, it looks like we’re going back into the woods!

One of the first NPPL affiliate tournaments of 2010 was hosted at the Warped Paintball Park in Castaic, CA this last weekend and the results were fantastic! 7-man and 5-man teams from all over Southern California participated in the Bonus Balls Tournament Series NPPL HB Warm-up event, with 1st place teams in both divisions taking home a free NPPL entry!
